Winds of Faith

Post Mother’s Day
A few days past Mother's Day now, the cards are all opened, the flowers received and in their vase, fond thoughts of dinners out or rest home visits. My elderly neighbor was hoping her daughter would bring her one of those hanging baskets of flowers for Mother’s Day, but I could see in her eyes and countenance that she had doubts of that happening. Lucky for us, a mom’s thoughts and love are ever towards us, no matter what we do. The lamentations and praises of a wayward son for his mother
found in the old song, Mother's Prayers Have Followed Me, still reach deep into our hearts as we consider the lives of our good mothers.
I grieved my Lord from day to day
I shunned his love so full and free
and though I wandered far away
My Mother's prayers have followed me
(prayer & praise)
Or desert wild or mountain high
A wanderer I choose to be
A wretched soul condemned to die
Still Mother’s prayers, they followed Me
Thanks Mom!!!
