Mark Twain Lake Project implementing a Temporary Winterization Plan
In anticipation of inclement weather forecasted from Friday, October 27, 2023, through Tuesday, October 31, 2023, the Mark Twain Lake Project is taking precautionary measures to ensure that pipes do not freeze. The project will be implementing a winterization plan that will temporarily impact campground sites within the Ray Behrens and Indian Creek Campgrounds. There will be no water at any campsites within the Ray Behrens and Indian Creek Campgrounds until the nightly temperatures are above the freezing point. Water will be accessible through the dump stations within the affected recreational areas. Fish cleaning stations have also been winterized and will remain closed for the duration of the recreation season. For further information, please contact the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center at 573-565-2112.
