Paris R-II School District Board of Education Candidates

Any person wishing to file for the Paris R-II School District Board of Education may do so in the Paris R-II School District Administration Office located in the High School, 25686 Business Hwy 24, Paris, MO 65275. Filing will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023, through Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

Filing hours will open Tuesday, December 5 at 8:00, through Tuesday, December 26 at 5:00. Normal district hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The district office will be closed and no filings will be accepted Friday, December 22, 2023 and Monday, December 25, 2023, for Christmas break. The final day for filing will be Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Paris R-II School District of Monroe County will hold an election for two board member positions on Tuesday, April 4, 2024. The positions carry a three-year term.

Any person interested in serving on the Paris R-II School Board of Education will meet the following requirements:

Must be a United States citizen.

Must be a resident taxpayer of the Paris R-II School District.

Have resided in Missouri for a minimum of one (1) year preceding their election.

Be at least 24 years of age.

Must not be delinquent in the payment of any state income taxes, personal property taxes, municipal taxes, real property taxes on the residence of the candidate.

Have not been found guilty of nor pled guilty to a felony or misdemeanor under federal law, or to a felony under Missouri law, or has been found guilty of an offense in another state, which would be considered to be a felony in the State of Missouri.

Not be registered or required to be registered as a sex offender.
