The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake has announced the opening date for campgrounds is March 29, 2024. All sites are reservable, and you will need a reservation prior to setting up on a site. You can make reservations at www.recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777. Additional campground loop opening/closing dates are listed below.
Ray Behrens Campground:
Deer Run, Sites 1A-47B, open March 29 to November 18
Little Blue Stem, Sites 48-116, open April 5 to October 21
Cedar Ridge, Sites 117-157, open May 3 to September 30
Indian Creek Campground:
Sentry Ridge, Sites 1 - 65, open March 29 to November 18
Night Hawk, Sites 66-95, open April 26 to September 23
Fox Loop, Sites 96-121, open April 5 to September 30
Eagle Point, Sites 122-177, open May 3 to September 3
Hike-In, Sites HI1-HI20, open May 22 to May 28
June 26 to July 2
August 28 to September 3
Frank Russell Campground:
Joanna, Sites 1-20B, May 3 to September 27
Clear View, Sites 21-29, May 3 to September 27
Flint Ridge, Sites 30-60, April 5 to November 4
Equestrian, Sites 61-67, March 29 to November 4
The John C. Briscoe Group Camp will be open May 3 to September 30 and Indian Creek Group Campground May 3 to September 23. You must now make your group camp reservations through www.recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.
