Fall Into Paris 2024

The Paris Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to sponsor the Fall Into Paris event again.

Breakfast at the Paris Senior Center and the Run Into Paris 5K Run and Walk started the day off on September 28, 2024. The Monroe County Farm Bureau was sponsored the 5K Run and Walk. All of the proceeds went to the Scholarship Fund. The 5K Run and Walk started at Market and Marion Street in Paris.

The Car Show registration was at 8am and the show began at 8:30am with the Awards at 12:30pm. The Car Show was located south of the Courthouse. There were 20 cars and trucks there.

Another year of fun with the HighFit Class with Kristen Gholson and Kayla Norment with an all-new modified playlist that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. They had several take part.

Mid-morning the Baby Show, Cornhole Tournament, Pie Eating Contest, and live entertainment with Lacey Mihalevich and The Riverside Band started.

A Chili Cook-Off, Petting Zoo, Pumpkin Painting, Bounce House, Yard Games, Balloon Animals, Face Painting, Straw Maze and more were held for enjoyment.

The Monroe County Courthouse Lawn was full of vendors and food trucks were lined by Dollar General and behind the Courthouse.

The Paris Area Chamber of Commerce added a new item to this year’s event, a passport to use at local businesses listed (Dos Arcos; Bushel & A Peck; The Hootin’ Chicken; Paris Hardware; Delish Dish Bakery; Prengers; Calhoon’s Coffee & Cocktails; Paris Pharmacy; and Napa Thomas Auto Parts). If you spent $10 at three stores and got a punch on your passport and turned it in to any volunteer you were entered into a Chamber Bucks drawing. A parking space was not available within a block or two around the Courthouse.

This year reminded me of the way the annual event used to be. Full of fun and entertainment.
